Andross

Ripens early–August 7
High producing variety. Excellent canning peach. Characterized by good size and color. Ripens quite evenly. The tree is medium size and semi-upright.


Bowen

Ripens early–August 4
Produces fruit of good size, weak color. The tree is large and spreading, similar to Loadel.


Carson

Ripens extra early–July 25
Excellent color, good firmness and size. Somewhat uniform ripening. The tree is medium size with a willowy, upright growth habit.


Dr. Davis

Ripens late–about August 16
A University of California introduction. It has a good size fruit that is firm and the color is excellent. It has very good cold storage capability.


Goodwin (PP#13,911)

Ripens late July
A great canning variety offers uniform yellow/gold flesh color without red staining. The tree is vigorous and upright with a spreading growth habit.
These varieties are sold under license from the Regents of the University of California.

Halford

Ripens late–‚August 25
Old standby with consistent heavy production. Very good canning peach, ripens uniformly, fruit is large and firm. The tree is vigorous and large, semi-upright to spreading. Strong limb structure.


Kader Cling

Ripens July 26-August 11

University of California selection matures approximately 6 days before Andross. The mature fruit will hold well with no res staining on the pit.


Kingsburg Cling (PP# 11,739)

Ripens about August 2
The tree has an excellent quality fruit with a great shape and firmness and a consistent crop. Fruit has an exceptional canning quality and the tree has a vigorous growth habit.


Klamath

Ripens — end of August
A highly producing variety that matures the first two weeks of August. The fruit is highly yielding and firm. The tree size is medium to large.


Calaveras

Ripens early — end of July
A popular variety that harvest the last two weeks of July. An earlier ripening variety with superb flavor.


Vilmos

Ripens early–August 7
An early ripening variety that is medium sized and hangs on the tree well. Ripens around the Andross time frame. It is a superb producer.


Late Ross (PP#11,208)

Ripens about August 15
A relatively new variety that was discovered as a bud mutation of Ross. The tree exhibits many of the same qualities of the parent tree, with good-shaped fruit as well as firmness and good color. Harvest is about 5 days later than Ross.

Lilleland (PP #13,028)

Ripens August 25
Attractive, nearly symmetrical fruit with bright yellow flesh. The fruit ripens at approximately the same time as that of the Halford. The flowers are large and showy and the growth habit is spreading to upright-spreading.

Loadel

Ripens extra early—July 20
High quality canning peach. Firm, excellent color, exhibits uniform ripening. The tree is large, vigorous and spreading.


Monaco

Ripens late—August 22
Good color, firmness and size. Consistent producer. The tree is large, semi-upright to spreading.


Ross

Ripens late—August 17
Introduced in 1982 by the University of California. Appears to be a high quality canning peach, displays good color, flavor and firmness. Tree is vigorous with a spreading growth habit.


Stanislaus

Ripens July 20- Aug 5th

An Early Cling variety. Matures slightly ahead of carson. Better fruit quality, vigorous and productive.


Starn

Ripens extra late—August 28
Dependable, consistent heavy producer. Very good canning peach. Fruit is large with good color and firmness. Uniform ripening, the tree is vigorous, large, semi-upright to spreading.
